About Us
In 1961, Marvin Keyser, along with childhood friends Lou and Harry Deitsch, decided to turn his favorite hobby into a lifelong career. With only a handful of technicians and a small garage, they set out to build a transmission business based on honest pricing and guaranteed service. Today, Glen Burnie Transmissions is the nation's largest independent transmission center. By 1988 GBT had grown to incorporate nearly 20 technicians and 21 service bays. GBT provides the fastest possible service without sacrificing quality. Let us help you get the most out of your transmission.
Glen Burnie Transmissions services all cars, trucks, mobile homes, buses, vans, and 4x4s. Each of our trained technicians specializes in a certain type of transmission, and we frequently attend industry seminars to update our skills. We have a full-time electrical diagnostic technician, two rebuilders, and many other additional technicians. Sixteen of those technicians have been with us for over ten years, and two of those employees have been here for over thirty years. You can rest assured Glen Burnie Transmissions only specialize in one thing…transmissions.
